I went to the Flea market today to swap some books. I am running out of reading materials again and I needed to stock some more. I brought the books that I bought brand new to the (only) book stand at the Flea market and got ten books in return. When I was getting ready to leave, the stall owner handed me money. It was not much, just six dollars but I was still surprised. I was not expecting to get paid at all. Our agreement was I get one book in every two books I bring to him. The ten books was then enough for the twenty I gave him but he still gave me money. I did not want to accept it but he said I have to. That he is not going to pay me anything unless I did not deserve it. I guess it was because most of the books were brand new. I don’t know. I am happy now. I have books to read when I have the time. It may be cold outside but I can always pretend I am on one of those Outer Banks vacation homes and it is the middle of Summer. It is amazing what books do to me when I read. I get lost in them which is the point in reading anyway. And do you know that I am waiting for books that I ordered online to be delivered? I love my husband for understanding this rather (sometimes) expensive past-time.

historical romance
January 19th, 2010
For weeks now I have been reading historical romance paperbacks. It started when I found one at the Flea market and since then I have bought more online and in stores. I honestly don’t know how much I already spent on this kind of book but I know it is time to slow down or I will be broke. I don’t know what is the attraction though because it is basically romance albeit with a different time period as setting. I ordered more books online a week ago and today when we went to the store I bought one more. The husband said it was fine because he rarely complains when I want some reading materials but I know if I keep on he will not be happy about it. I am not either but I can’t seem to stop myself. I hope I will find cheap books somewhere so I don’t have to be out a few dollars for just one book. Do you by chance have a stack of historical romance paperback you would like to get rid of? I will be happy to relieve you with the burden. Just let me know.
swapped

Went to the Flea market yesterday and brought my books to fulfill I promise I made to the guy who sells books there. I told him one weekend I have plenty of books and he said I can bring it over and we will swap. So I did. He gave me ten books for the fifteen that I brought over. Not bad eh? Actually better than just keeping the books and buying more online or on stores. Now I have ten books waiting for me to read. That does not include the four paperbacks I ordered online a week ago which got here last Friday. That is a lot of book for me to read for the next week or two when I have the time. Between taking care of the husband and the little man, I hope to still find time to read. At least this way I will not have free time to think about anything else.
