Ours is uneventful. The little man and I are at home waiting for the husband to get home. He is up in the shop working on a friend’s car. The one I was talking about two (or is is three?) posts down. He spent the day yesterday calling for friends who have friends who knows somebody who has a spare engine for an Explorer. Somebody eventually called just when we were inside the mall to buy clothes for the little guy. How good a timing was that? Of course we didn’t buy any clothes because he had to run get the engine and then drive it to work.
This morning he went up there early to work on the damn (forgive the word) car. And, oh, did I mention he paid for the engine? Yup, almost four hundred dollars just for friends in distress. He said they can pay it when they have the money. When? No one knows. I am not begrudging them of that though. I just want that car fixed and running and hopefully they will not bother my husband for a long time. It is fine to ask a friend for help but asking it every time is just unfair. Don’t you think?
Maybe this time they will listen when they are told to not put too many miles on the car or it will break down again. And hopefully they will get another car (as back up) for when the other car breaks down. So they don’t have to ruin another family’s weekend plan. My husband is not a machine. Which makes it doubly hard because he won’t say no if at all.

Have you ever thought about how to get rid of unsightly fats? Work out maybe? Going to the gym several times in a week to sweat? Or cutting off on carbs and fatty foods? How about using diet pills like apidexin to get back into shape? Whatever your choice, be responsible and stick to it. Sometimes it takes a little longer to lose weight. It is a sad truth especially when one gets older.
When I was younger there was a time I got overweight but once I got rid of the extra baggage I never went to over a hundred pounds no matter if I ate a lot. But now, I only have to sniff on a fry and I gain a few pounds. So sad! In as much as I try not to over-eat I still gain weight. In a few years I may have to do some drastic decision for this ballooning weight problem. Or else risk of being sick and the husband teasing me all the time.

I am the practical one in the family. I always think about the pros and cons first before making a decision. This is so I will not have any what ifs in my mind. This attitude of mine make people think I am mean and cold. The husband on the other hand is all heart. He will give you the shirt off his back if he thinks you need it. He will go out of his way to help people when he thinks they need it. He gets sad looking at street people. I can’t really blame him. He grew up in a poor family who were ridiculed and made fun of other kids because they didn’t have money. He often tells me he knows what it feels like to be helpless so he tries his best to help other people. Which is one of the things I love about him.
I admire him for that. I am glad that I married him. Only there are times he gets a little carried away. Take what happened yesterday as an example. Our former neighbor ( a couple ) has been asking him to fix their car which he did. The problem is there is always a problem with their car every single week and they run to him for help all the time. Of course being the good man that he is, he never says no. He spends half a day, sometimes he stays late at the shop to fix their car. He had it fixed most times. Yesterday though he didn’t have much time to fix the engine and so he got worried on what to do. He knows that the woman uses the car to drive to work and back. In his agitation he offered the couple to loan them our car. Of course he called me and said that was what he will do. Now I am not really a bad person but loaning your car to people you barely know? I was dumbfounded! And to be honest, unhappy and afraid he will go through with the plan. After talking to him and him knowing that I wasn’t agreeing on the plan, he decided to just bring them to their place. He came home sad that he wasn’t able to help. I told him though that him offering to fix their car is helping them a lot. He doesn’t have to worry about them too much because I am sure they will find a way. Now if they were family or people we see several times in a week then maybe I will agree.
I feel bad for him feeling bad after his decision. It is sad to think of them without a ride but there is only so much he can do. He even offered to buy their old car so they can use the money to get a newer ride. The problem with them though is that they have been told to not abuse the car since it is old and is liable to break down. I don’t think they ever listen. They even bragged about going places. Now can you really blame me for saying no? I am a bit disgusted with myself for being practical but I am just protecting our own interest. I am sorry.

Ever wonder why body builders look and feel all tight muscle? It is because they work out diligently. Work on their diets as well as using legal steroids to make them look good and feel good. There are medicines a body builder has to take to keep his stamina and strength. It is not just well balanced food. Like any normal person they also need more than just food some times. They are not machines after all. And their diligence always works wonders for them. There was a time in my youth that I admired body builders. Especially when I saw my favorite actors on screen. My foolishness as a kid full of raging hormones.

The long (okay, days) awaited part to supposedly fix the dryer is here. My stepson went out to sit on the porch when the delivery guy came and handed him the package. He then went inside to hand it to me since it was addressed to me. I thought at first it might be the DVD’s I ordered for the little guy but the box is a little too big for two DVD’s. I opened it and read the enclosed receipt and sure enough it is the heating element we ordered. Being excited and all I called the husband and told him the happy news. He asked if it looked the same with the heating element from our dryer. Well, I haven’t really gotten to that part yet. So he told me to look. It looks about the same but now I am worried it looks like it is wider. Oh well, the husband will just have to deal with it when he gets home. I hope this will fix our problem. If not then we may just have to bring all our dirty clothes to his daughter’s house and do our laundry there. It’s amazing how we thought about doing our laundry on the laundry mat when we could do it for free at Natasha’s. Now that is an idea. Okay, back to the topic, please let us all hope it will make the dryer work. We don’t have the money to spare on an expensive dryer right now.
UPDATE : The dryer is fixed and is running like new. I am so glad

In a country where a percentage of the population is overweight, it is not surprising for weight loss programs to be popular. Aside from the fact that being fat poses a lot of health problems it is not good to look at. If you are one of the overweight people who are looking for a way to lose weight then why not try to use the fat burner Fenphedra and see what it will do to you and to your self confidence. Health is wealth. To stay healthy one has to be physically fit.

My son is getting good with the alphabet. The DVD we bought for him is working its magic and now my son can say the easier to pronounce letters like A, B, E, O, and Y, his favorite letter. He still struggles to say H, S, M, W that whenever he gets one of these letters from his bag he stares at it trying to make a sound close to what he thinks it is. He is deligent too. He does this every single day sometimes with my help, often times alone. When the husband is home his son gives him the letters, waits until he says what it is and then gets another letter from his stack. At first I thought he was just saying things in random and lucky enough to get the right letter. He proved me wrong when yesterday he was holding the letter Y which I happened to call X. He yelled at me saying Y, Y, Y so I came over to check and sure enough it was the letter Y. I had to say I was wrong, what can I do? He grinned and then proceeded with his game of naming each letter he gets hold of. Now I hope this will prompt him to learn to talk more. He is almost two years old and I hope it will be sooner when he starts to converse with us in sentences and not mumbled words.

The part for the dryer we ordered is on its way. Our old reliable dryer just quit working last weekend which caused a lot of trouble. The husband decided against buying a new unit and is going to fix the old one and hope it will work. If not then that will be the time to decide to get a new dryer. He said at least we won’t have any what if’s when we decide to shell out money for a new dryer. And I agree with him. The husband is actually quite handy when it comes to fixing stuff inside the house and I trust he can fix our dryer. Hopefully the parts will be here before the weekend because I need to do a lot of washing and drying before then so we will not get stucked in the house doing the laundry.
