One of the things I like about fall is that during the day the sun’s rays shine on the windows to where I don’t have to use any home lighting thereby saving a lot on electricity. The sun shines brightly on our kitchen window resulting in a nice glow inside the house. It goes on for hours too which I like so much. In a sunny fall day, it may be cold outside but I still have that warm, summer feeling (albeit a fake one) inside the house. I think the little man likes it too. I make sure to open the blinds to let the sunshine in and to have that uplifting feeling instead of gloom because of the cold. I hope it will stay this way until winter. I can stand the cold as long as I have a little bit of the sun to make me think of summer and warmth during the day.

on my spare time
October 31st, 2008
Since I have plenty of time in my hands, I decided to spend it with the little man when he is awake. When he is taking a nap I take time to either watch a movie or read a book. I have watched a few movies last week. This week, I plan on reading the books I purchased. This is what I do on my alone time when I am not on the internet talking to friends. I usually do the cleaning early in the morning so I don’t have to worry about it during the day. I believe in starting early to finish early. That way I don’t have to be dragging the whole day. Besides this is the only time agreeable for mine and the little man’s schedule. Works good for us actually.
what a mess
October 31st, 2008
The little man is acting rowdy lately. When he gets his hands on things he throws it on the carpet for me to clean up when he is done. It is chaos in here during the day. I try to stop him and he stops long enough for me to clean up his mess and then he starts opening drawers again and there goes our office supplies all scattered on the floor. It is a cycle every day that I just want to hide everything and leave the house bare so he can not mess with anything. But the husband has other ideas. He said the little man just have to learn to listen and know that there are things he can’t play with. Will he ever listen? I don’t know. Though I hope he will, eventually.
feeling a lot better
October 31st, 2008
I woke up with a cold this morning. I have had this for about two days now but it only got worse today which means I am about to feel better. I believe that whenever an illness like this gets worse then it will only be a few days and it should be going away. Weird? Well, what else could it do but go away? It had ran its course, after all. And I can tell I am feeling better. I have to get better because I will have flu shot next week. I had to reschedule our appointment last week since the husband was busy at work and nobody was gonna drive us to the health center that day. Besides the little man had fever too. Perhaps the next schedule will go through all right.
love the outdoors
October 31st, 2008
The husband loves the outdoors. He loves the beach mostly and going for hikes and such. He is an active person and sometimes I think the little man and I are weighing him down since he has to consider us all the time he wants to go anywhere. It is just not easy to go anywhere anymore with a toddler since we have to think of his safety and comfort first before ours. We limit our escapades in areas where it is convenient with a little boy in our heels. Perhaps when he gets older and I get used to running around then we can keep up with the husband. Maybe we can even go hunting for a change provided it is safe for us to be around him . Now that is something I haven’t tried before.
Speaking of hunting, where do you get your gears you use like binocular and such? Do you know that there is a Nikon ATB Promotion right now? If you purchase a Nikon ATB binocular, which is known for its precision optics, you will get a free Nikon Pro Gear gift card (a $25-$50 value) for no additional cost. You only have to register your gift card after you made a purchase to redeem the cool gear you like to have. The promotion is only up to December 31, 2008 so you better hurry and make a purchase now so you can avail of the promotion.
went brisk walking
October 31st, 2008
We went walking last night even if it was a bit cold for me and the little man. I decided to go with the husband because I know he really wanted to go walk. Besides I need it anyway. I bundled the little man in warm clothes so he will not get too cold while making sure I will not complain as well. The brisk walk only lasted thirty minutes but it was worth it. I felt invigorated and warm surprisingly. The beach was so beautiful last night and there was nobody in there except us which made the walk more fun.
The husband said he will make sure this will be a regular thing. He has said this often enough but I think this time he means it. Thankfully, gas is not as expensive anymore so it will not be factor to worry about. We will just have to be firm on this plan. A bad news from somebody he works with is making him do this. He said he will not laze around and wait to get sick before he does something when he knows he can do it real easy. His co-worker is sick and the husband has been prompting him to go to the doctor for a checkup which he did the other day where he heard of the bad news. Hopefully the co-worker will recover from his predicament with the help of medicine and vigilance.
fall cleaning, sorta
October 29th, 2008
The husband went to the hospital today to have some lab tests done. He decided to go because he has been feeling bad lately. He has complaints about having blurry vision among other things. He is afraid of what he will find out but I told him it is better to know so we will know what to do than guess about the culprit. He has to stop some of his vices though but I don’t think he is ready to do it yet. I just hope the result will be negative and that he is healthy as a horse.
Anyway, I put away some things we had in the house. I decided to clean up so the house will not look so cluttered. I put away old coffee makers, some of the little man’s toys, and rearranged some things as well. I still have to wait for the husband to transfer the AC units that are in one corner of the living room right now. I don’t know where he will put these but I am sure he will find a place.
i did it, i think..
October 29th, 2008
The husband has been bugging me to do something to make the printer work. After our desktop computer crashed we haven’t printed any pictures since we had every reason in the book to not hook the printer to one of my laptops. This morning he called me from work with the same whine about not being able to print documents he need for his records so I looked for the installation CD and tried to do it myself. Well, it took me a long time but I finally had it running which means I probably did it right. He laughed when I called and told him what I did. I know I am lazy and I don’t do things unless I really have to. I hate to hear him complain so I did what I had to do which actually did me a lot of good
Now I will have to see if the printer will still work when he gets home. And try to get the little man away from it. He loves to play with the printer which is actually one of the reasons I didn’t want to mess with it. Now that it is working I might as well print some pictures I will send to my parents.
