We were supposed to go walk this morning but we canceled the plan since the husband is not feeling well. He is back in our room after having breakfast and taking a pill. I pity him. He looks bad. He is not the kind to complain much about anything but he could not help it. This only means the pain must be severe. I hope he gets to feeling better. Good thing the little man is occupied so he leaves his father alone which is what he needs. Hopefully the pill and a long rest will do him good.

dreams
September 28th, 2009
When we were in MB a couple weeks ago, we saw several houses for sale. There were traditional single family houses but there were ocean front mansions too. Really big ones. We do not have plans (nor do we have theĀ money
) to buy a house but we looked at some anyway. Only from the outside. A number of the beach front houses are for sale. Those are really nice too with what look like Naples Fl custom doors really beautiful and elegant. And plenty of room just by looking at it. I told the husband should I win the lottery I will buy him one of those houses so he will get his ocean view every waking hour. He laughed at my silliness but it is free to dream. When we are in MB we always pass by that area the husband calls the millionaires row just to get a glimpse of the houses. What makes me like the area is that you don’t see any commercial motels or rental places. It is purely residential and private.
shrimp jambalaya
September 28th, 2009
Or this is what I call what the husband and I fixed a few minutes ago. It is made of brown rice, boiled shrimp, vegetable juice, and a few spices he found in the cupboard. It smells good and it is delicious! This is a recipe truly his own. I asked him earlier if he needs help getting rid of the shrimp but he gave me that look which said don’t you dare, lol. I don’t blame him, I do tend to get carried away and he ends up with just the rice when I am finished helping
It was not a hard to fix either. I might try this recipe but with vegetables and see what it will taste like. I want to try making seafood rice though if I can find the recipe and some clams or mussels to do it.
we want
September 28th, 2009
The husband and I would like very much to own an rv. You see, we both love to go places. He wants us to go camping but I will not go because I don’t think I will survive in a tent for days with a toddler who wanders around unmindful of his parents. I told him if we will go camping we have to have something nice or we are staying in a motel. He said it is ridiculous staying in a motel when the purpose of a trip was camping in the first place. And so we have not been in a camping trip yet. Not unless he buys an rv then I will go with him. Spoiled much? Not really. I just want to be comfortable. What good will camping be if I will not enjoy it? The problem is we do not really have the capacity to buy an rv with an rv extended warranty so I guess we will just either stay home or wait when the little man is about five and starts minding us. Maybe someday we will find something we can afford. It does not have to be big, I will even settle for a second hand rv as long as it is still working.
bad news
September 23rd, 2009
We received bad news yesterday. The husband’s nephew, who lived with him before we got married, got in a car accident. His car hydroplaned and he hit a tree. He has been in the hospital ever since and it was said that if his leg will continue to swell the doctor was talking about amputating him. They have to wait until tomorrow to do it. I do hope his leg will heal up though so it does not have to be cut off. It is sad, he is only in his twenties and he is on active military duty. His girlfriend who was with him when the accident happened was not hurt because she jumped out of the car before it hit the tree. She was lucky. The family were talking about getting a lawyer for him so he could file a claim but he will not talk to anybody at all. He probably is still in shock. Anyway, if he was in Tacoma, it would be easier to find a Tacoma car accident lawyer but he lives in Kentucky and the accident happened in Indiana. I don’t know how it will play but hopefully his mother or anybody close to him will do something so somebody will be held liable for his accident.
more salted fish
September 20th, 2009
I salted more fish today. Actually it started last night and I put more salt tonight so I can leave the second batch on a keeper for two weeks to age. The first batch turned out good so I am fixing more because it keeps at room temperature and it will be nice if I can fry one whenever I crave for it. Next time I might gather the necessary ingredients for a Filipino recipe which requires salted fish (along with vegetables and coconut milk) to be used.
looking for a new place
September 20th, 2009
If we will find a house or an apartment which suit us, the husband, the little man, and I are moving to Myrtle Beach. This has been planned a long time but I think this time it will push through. Moving means having to adjust to a new environment, looking for new friends, and basically starting over. Thankfully, we have been visiting Myrtle Beach for years now that it is actually a familiar place to be. And if we live in Myrtle Beach then we do not have to make Myrtle beach hotel reservations just to be able to stay for a few days. We will have our own place there. Isn’t it great? We think it is too. There was this two bedroom condo unit which is right across the beach we love. You can actually see the beach when you are sitting on the porch. We like it but we think the owner is asking too much for an old, unclean unit. They did not even try to clean it up before showing it to us. Well, we will continue looking and hoping we will find the right house.
inactive
September 18th, 2009
I have not been active with visiting blogs for a week now. I seem so busy but I am not really doing anything. I hate to think what my blogs’ traffic are at the moment. Sometimes I wonder if there is any other way I can promote my blog aside from Entrecard. A place where anybody interested enough can read my posts or see a link they can follow to my blog. The problem is I don’t even know what category my blogs fall under. I mean, even if I submit one to a web directory I will not know if it will even be accepted. I guess I have to stick to visiting blogs and hope that those blog owners will visit my blogs back. I have to get active again and hope for more traffic in the future.
