bad romance

January 29th, 2010

The first time I heard this song I thought it was an old song from the eighties. It actually reminded me of the disco my older cousins used to attend when I was a little kid. After listening to it for a while I realized it is a fairly new song by Lady Gaga. Honestly, I am not a fan. I only knew about her through reading online news about celebrities and such. And she is famous for her choice of clothes or lack thereof when in public. But I must admit she has a nice voice and I like her songs the more I listen to them. Tonight I made the husband search for the video of Bad Romance and he liked what he found. The poor man could not get his eyes off from the computer screen, lol. I guess Lady Gaga gained another fan. I like the fact that her songs are different yet it sticks in my mind in a good way. And her voice really is awesome. I hope she continues to write songs that are uniquely hers because it is nice to listen to songs that are different from what we normally hear every day.

it might just work

January 28th, 2010

The idea of having a new laptop is starting to sound good to me. This is a few days after I was told I can have a new one. If I can get a new Sony VAIO with more gig then it will surely be faster to load and easier to use. And if I will keep pictures and other data on the old computers (or maybe buy more memory card) and keep the husband and the little man away from it, it might just work. Perhaps I will start looking for a new computer. Maybe I will find one on sale then that will be awesome. I still have to think things over and see if this will work. Who knows I will be excited? Lol.

new laptop?

January 25th, 2010

The husband asked me if I wanted to have another laptop since he and the little man are using mine all the time now.  I actually have to run them off since after the father reads the news he turns over my laptop to his son so he can play in it. And once the little man uses my computer (and even if he is not using it as long as he was the one who left it open) I do not get to reclaim my computer without a fight. And I can’t use his computer because, well, it is his. This happens daily. Did I tell you that we have three laptops in this house? Yes, three. One for each of us. But somehow I always end up without one. I have voiced my complaints hence the offer for a new laptop complete with extended service plan and anti-virus protection and anything else I might want. In as much as I want a new laptop, I don’t really see the need to buy one at the moment. We do have three laptops. If these two will just leave my computer alone (which they complained is too slow to load anyway) then I will be completely happy. Besides, what’s the guarantee that they will not use the new laptop should we buy one? I might have to start hiding my computer and see what happens, lol.

historical romance

January 19th, 2010

For weeks now I have been reading historical romance paperbacks. It started when I found one at the Flea market and since then I have bought more online and in stores. I honestly don’t know how much I already spent on this kind of book but I know it is time to slow down or I will be broke. I don’t know what is the attraction though because it is basically romance albeit with a different time period as setting. I ordered more books online a week ago and today when we went to the store I bought one more. The husband said it was fine because he rarely complains when I want some reading materials but I know if I keep on he will not be happy about it. I am not either but I can’t seem to stop myself. I hope I will find cheap books somewhere so I don’t have to be out a few dollars for just one book. Do you by chance have a stack of historical romance paperback you would like to get rid of? I will be happy to relieve you with the burden. Just let me know.

quick post

January 18th, 2010

Earlier today I had a very bad headache. I had to take a Tylenol for it because even after resting for a few hours the pounding in my head did not quit. My boys were exceptionally good and they left me alone and that is enough to be thankful for. I feel a lot better now and I hope the pain will go away. I hate being crippled by blinding headaches but it happens and so I have to deal with it. Now that I feel decent again I am back online to check on my blogs, read the news, search for the brother’s request for acne scar removal product, and of course get on my Facebook account to tend to my farms. I will not stay longer than I should though because I don’t want to get sick again. So I have to make this quick post and do the things on my list.

big plan

January 17th, 2010

We might get pregnant this year. The husband wants us to have another baby before we are too old to take care of one and I think it is time we do. The little man is three years old, old enough to understand about having a sibling (we hope) and is starting to be independent which is good because I may have to spend more time on the new baby when it comes. I am excited and a bit apprehensive. I had C-section last time and I don’t know if it will be like that again. Then there is twice the responsibility since we will have two kids. Plus I still have to take care of the husband. But then I have known women who have more kids and they seem to be doing fine. Maybe I will be too in the future. It is time to gather health insurance quotes then. I don’t have health insurance now but I will need it when I get pregnant and I have to scout around for the lowest rates. I already have a few companies in mind but I still have to read some more and ask questions just to be sure. A friend gave me a link to a North Carolina health insurance thinking I am in North Carolina but I told her we are in South Carolina. I know she just wants to help. Most of my friends and relatives have been encouraging me to have another baby and I am sure they will be happy with my decision. If only my own parents will stop worrying. They seem to think that it is too early to have another child especially since they have not seen their first grandchild yet. We promise them they will see us soon though and I know they will accept our decision and be happy for us. After all, family always support each other.

futile search

January 17th, 2010

The other day I got annoyed with the husband because he wanted me to look up a doctor he went to months ago. The problem was he forgot the doctor’s office address and he did not know the telephone number. When I punched in the name in an online free directory it gave me tons of information but we did not know which one was the right person. I checked every single item which came up when I did the search but it was futile. I told him to call the person who referred him to the doctor so he can ask questions but he can be stubborn at times and he chose that time to do it. I don’t know what ever happened after that because I told him to figure it out and it was not in a nice way either. He may have made some calls and fixed the problem. Next time he goes to a doctor I have to either tell him to write down all important information or I may have to do it myself to avoid arguments like that again.

morning routine

January 15th, 2010

The little man woke me up with his cheek pressed on mine this morning. When I opened my eyes his face lit up with a smile. He was thirsty and he wanted me to fix him a cup of milk so we got up. After that I fixed him his favorite breakfast of pancakes and sausage which he devoured heartily. He must have been hungry, poor thing. When he was full and happy I then had to fix me a plate and did my morning routine which thankfully does not include the best face cream yet. Just a little shower and tidying up and we now have all day to ourselves. The husband did not get up until later so I pretty much were finished with chores when he got up. And then it was his turn to eat breakfast and is now staying out of mine and the little man’s way. He is a smart man, lol. We might have to go out in a little while to do some grocery shopping and mail some bills. Other than that we pretty much stay home most of the day.
