Today we bought new bed sheets. Yay! Lol. This decision was made after I realized that we only have two sets of decent bed sheets. The rest were just an assortment of mismatched colors. The husband thought I was lying because he claimed we have quite a number of new bedsheets stashed in the closet. I then told him that the supposed stash was gone. When his daughter lived with us for a few months and moved out she brought a few sets saying those were hers when she was a teenager. Okay, let her have them. When his son (who also lived with us for a while) moved out he did not say anything but we thought he needed some sheets so we gave him a few more sets. The result? We only have two sets left and I am telling you it is a pain having to alternate only two sets when you wash them every few days. Talk about being threadbare. So today while changing the sheets I told the husband there was a sale on one of the stores and what do you know bed sheets were heavily discounted. He said we have to buy more but only after checking the closet. Had to make sure in case I was just using that as an excuse to shop, lol. We decided to buy two sets which we separately choose. I opted for printed sheets with brown as the dominant color while the husband’s choice was a canary yellow set. When he said he wanted yellow I thought sure, thinking it was of a darker shade. I was horrified when I saw it. Well, I could not say no since he really likes it so we paid for it. I have not washed the sheets and I just replaced the bedsheets before we went out so it might be a few days before we will use the new ones but I am telling you I will post a picture of his choice to see how it will come out. He just laughs at me and said it will be beautiful. Why do I doubt that? Lol.
