Is not easy. The last few days we have stayed home not because we wanted to but because we had to. You see, the little man was sick. We could not go anywhere with a sick child, could we? So we stayed home to nurse him back to good health and we were rewarded with tantrums, lol. Well, if it proves he is feeling better then I will gladly take that than a weak, helpless child. He wanted to go to McDonalds he said for fries and thought that screeching nonstop will work on his harassed parents. Well, it did not work so both times he had to settle down in defeat. But not after I thought I was going to go crazy from the noise. He was in a fit that he threw his toys in the carpet, he slammed his body in the couch several times, and turned off every light that was on. The little man was in a rage that I think if he was bigger he would have been able to turn ping pong tables (should we have them)over, lol. I know it does not sound funny to some but we learned that the best way to make the little man settle down from an outburst is to leave him be. To let him express his emotions until he had it all out so he will feel better. And it worked. After throwing a fit, he snuggled next to me in the couch where he passed out after we talked. I hope he will eventually learn to deal with his emotions without throwing a fit for both our sanity. He does have a lot of growing up to do and we will be with him every step of the way. For now, we are glad he is fully recovered.
