100 things..

March 11th, 2008

this was inspired from a fellow blogger i chanced upon months ago when i was a newbie in the blogging world..she wrote 100 things about her and i want to emulate it.. this may be an installment but i will try to reach a hundred..so here goes..
1. i was born two hours after christmas day..
2. was born 7 months after my parent’s wedding..

3. learned to walk at 9 months old..

4. started talking at 12 months (according to mamsy)

5. called ugly by a neighbor when i was a toddler (mamsy didn’t let her get away with that one lol)

6. was an honor student in grade school (would you believe that?)

7. not very athletic

8. i read a lot

9. cut my thumb with a bolo (luckily it healed back up after mamsy tied it with a cloth or i would have been thumb-less)

10. i was called bebang by my cousins

11. i was a gambler (kids play)  hence the nickname bebang

12. an aunt called me porangag because of my flat nose

13. she later shortened it to poray and it kinda stuck

14.  i am a daddy’s girl

15. papsy locked me up on his shop “accidentally” and hid..opened the door laughing when he saw me crying :(

16. i spent a lot of time in the school where papsy used to teach

17. used to get punished (every little mistake) by kneeling down with my brother with papsy standing guard

18. papsy had a bicycle-seat he made so i could ride with him in his bike anywhere he went

19. i only have 1 set of godparents (the godmother was generous when i was a kid, the godfather pretended he didn’t see me on the occasions our paths crossed)

20. loathed squash when i was kid (due to mamsy forcing us to eat veggies)

21. surprisingly likes it now and usually eats it with rice..yummy!

22. discovered Precious Hearts in grade school

23. was grounded for number 22 when i got caught reading (i know it wasn’t fit for a girl my age but..)

24. didn’t learn my lesson and continued reading which ended up with me throwing the offending books even if it weren’t mine (or else..)

25. was given an english paperback by an aunt when i was in grade 6..

26. finished reading the book (probably the nth time, with better understanding of the story) when i was in 4th year HS (very slow huh?)

27. to be continued
