It is starting to cool off where we are at. For weeks I was complaining about how hot the weather was and that I could not wait for the cooler days. Well, it seems like cooler days are here if Yahoo weather is accurate This means cool breeze and being able to go outside without worrying about heatstroke. I am so glad. I hope this will last a while. I am not even gonna listen to the husband’s telling me we only have a few weeks of this nice weather and then it will start getting really cold. I want to enjoy these days because after this I know I will be complaining about the cold. During the day I make it a point to get outside and sit on one of our patio chairs so I could better enjoy the remaining summer days. I love it. If I can have a book to read then I won’t mind sitting outside for hours since even if the little man gets outside to check on me he still prefers to stay indoors to play with his toys. And even if the husband sits with me he is content for us to just be beside each other so I still have time for myself. Can you blame me if I want this fine weather to last for a while?

Of Nissin cup noodles was left on our doorstep today. Said cup noodles were mailed from PI on the first week of this month by my brother upon my request. I always crave for this particular cup noodles with seafood flavor which were originally from Japan but are made available on select malls in PI. He sent me 16 big cups and one small cup and these should last me a long time provided I am stingy with it. In a couple weeks I should get a package, this time from my parents in Leyte who sent me goodies I requested. This is one thing I like about being pregnant, being able to ask favors without any complaints. But then, they rarely complain when I ask for occasional packages from them. I love presents!

One of the husband’s cousin had a problem with his camper today. He said it sputtered while he was driving it down the road and he had to stop because it will not go any further. He called his mother asking her if she could help him have it towed but she couldn’t so he called the husband and asked for help. The husband could not help him either except tell him to check what the possible problem was and for the cousin to try to fix it. He thought he had it fixed since it ran for a few miles but then it quit again. He had to leave the camper sitting by the road while he tried not to get late for work. The best advice the husband could give him after the incident is for his cousin to get a good insurance on the camper, one that will cover towing if he needs it which he does now. But to do that, he needs to look around and make sure he gets insurance quote from different insurance companies to get a good deal. Then, maybe he does not have to worry about breaking down again. I say he needs to have the camper fixed first whatever is wrong with it and then do the next step which is the insurance. I hope he gets the camper fixed because it seems like he needs it to sleep in since he will have to work 16 hours a day he said.

I am starving right now. Although there is food in the fridge I am thinking of something else to eat. And I don’t want to cook. How bad is that? I am actually making myself miserable. A friend said she cooked my favorite rice noodles and asked if I wanted some. Of course I do but she is about two hours away. Life is never really simple. I guess I will have to get up and cook something to eat before I get sick. I do have to eat for two now and I have to be responsible. Hays, what I will give to have somebody here to cook my favorite Filipino food.

It seems like every month I get a coupon from the mail from a lingerie store where I have an account. Ever since I opened an account the company has been sending me all kinds of coupons but I have only redeemed one lingerie so far. My reason at first was that I did not want to get tempted to buy anything when I go to the store. Then when we moved, I did not want to be out of gas just to get one cute lingerie since we live about 30 minutes away from the mall. The coupons expire without even being taken out of the envelope it came in. A friend said I could have given her the coupon but she lives far away so it will not be free when it gets to her place since we have to pay for shipping. I have a new coupon which came a few days ago. It is good for another month and I am hoping I will be able to redeem this before it expires. I have been thinking about going to the mall anyway to shop for intimates so it will be the prefect time. Provided I remember to bring the coupon.

My brother told me this morning that he mailed me a box of cup noodles from Manila. Said cup noodles originally came from Japan. I have gotten addicted to it that when cravings attack I have to have it or else I go crazy. Even the little man loves it. It is seafood flavor and it is so good. It has a different taste than most cup noodles, it does not give me acid nor does it make me feel like not eating noodles for weeks afterward. I am anticipating the box and I hope it will get here on time without incident. The last box that the SIL sent for me last year was opened with one cup noodle slashed open which outraged the husband. I guess whoever did the deed just wanted to make sure that there was nothing illegal in the cups. I would have appreciated it much it they just did an x-ray or let a dog sniff it instead of slashing the cup open. It was more sanitary that way. But, it has been done so there is nothing much to be done about it. Hopefully this new box will have a better fate. Yay! I am already excited.

The bathroom in our new place is huge. It is so spacious that I like it. I dislike small bathrooms so this is actually a very good upgrade. The downside is that there are no bathroom fans or exhaust fan, for that matter. Nothing. I don’t know what the owner was thinking when he built it but he sure was not thinking about overall comfort when he built the bathroom. The husband’s guess is that the bathroom might not be the original bathroom and whoever planned the house did not really have a concrete plan, he just kept on adding to the house as the years go by. Which could be true if one will look at how the house looks right now. There are rooms that we do not really know what to call and what to do with. This house could possibly have three bedrooms but since it was not well planned it only has two bedrooms with more rooms I call living room, lol. We like the space though and the house is kinda growing on us. In fact, the little man actually likes it that he puts up a fight when we have to run errands. There are areas that we think need to be worked on but they can also be left alone since they don’t bother us that much. It actually adds to the charm.

I will be heading to the store soon to get me something to read or I am going crazy. I cannot stay in the computer all day because it is not healthy nor will it help me with this wanting to have a book to read. It has been a long time and I have been a good girl but today I will get me a book from the store or I will order several books online. I know the husband understands, this is my only vice after all. If you can even call it a vice. Isn’t reading supposed to be good to one’s mind? Never mind that I want to read romance, lol. Hopefully I will find a good one when I look for it. I need to go to the store anyway because I need an ingredient for that Leche Flan (caramel custard) I have been craving for days now. If I can get a book and make that dessert this evening I will be one happy pregnant woman. Wish me luck.

Update: I did get the missing ingredient for the dessert I want and the thing is now cooling in the fridge for tomorrow. As for the book, I did not have the time to run to the book section so better luck next time. One out of two is not bad though so I should not complain.
